The reconciliation of our marriage after an eleven-year divorce and a distance of over 3,000 coast-to-coast miles is nothing short of a modern- day miracle. Our testimony entitled, “A God of Second Chances,” is accompanied by a multimedia presentation that enhances our story and assists us in encouraging others to reconcile broken relationships. The length of our testimony can be adapted to fit a variety of settings including worship services, special events, retreats, conferences, and small groups. In order to facilitate the next steps in the process of reconciliation, we also follow-up our testimony by teaching seminars that can be modified to fit a variety of settings and times.
MARRIAGE SEMINARS AND LEADERSHIP TRAINING
Ministry of Reconciliation: This training for marriage ministry leaders and pastors uses a dynamic relational model to guide and support the implementation of reconciliation ministries in local churches including a focus on developing a church-wide first response to marriages in crisis. In addition, it provides participants with hands-on resources that will help them to more effectively meet the needs of couples in crisis.
Building a Comprehensive Marriage Ministry/Team Training: We come alongside church leaders and ministry teams to assess the needs of the marriages in their congregation, develop short and long range plans based on those needs, and assist in the design of a comprehensive marriage ministry that is sustainable and effective.
Discovering God's Vision for Your Marriage: This seminar provides couples with hands-on training and applicable tools to help them gain a more godly perspective on their marriage. It is appropriate for all marriages, no matter where they may be in their stage of development. Topics covered include: incorporating prayer into the marriage, structuring weekly devotional time together, building accountability partners into the relationship, and accurately measuring the development of the marriage so that it progresses toward the intimate relationship God intended it to be.
Courageous Conversations—6 Key Communication Tools: Many challenges in marriage come from the hurtful things spouses say to one another or the kind things they should have said, but didn’t. Whether couples are engaged, newly married, or have been married for many years, participants who attend this seminar will learn six new communication tools that will transform their discussions from idle chit-chat and petty arguments to meaningful conversation that will deepen their intimacy and respect.
Building Resilient Relationships: Every marriage will encounter challenging circumstances and spiritual trials that can put a strain on the relationship. Couples need tangible tools to proactively build resilient marriages that will stand against life’s storms, guard against division and divorce, and discover God’s purpose amidst the pain. This workshop provides participants with biblically-based tools that are easy to implement into their relationship in order to fortify it against life’s attacks. |
